Chaturbate Chat Settings
Chaturbate Chat Settings
Clicking on a User’s Name Will Give You the Following Options
Send Private Message
Takes you to the PM dialog box to send a private message to the user. Please note that Chaturbate doesn't allow the user to see private message history. Users can only see messages made in the last 24 hours.
Send Direct Message
Takes you to the DM dialog box to send a direct message to the user. Chaturbate allows users to see direct message history, so it's better for in providing user with information that they might want to reference in the future.
Mention This User
Takes you to public chat and tags the user.
Kick/Ban
This will ban the user from your room for the default 3 months. If you want to make it permanent you'll need to go under the gear icon and select View/Edit Bans and Silences. There you can change the ban to permanent.
Banning a user will block access to your room, so after you block them they cannot tip or give you a negative thumbs down rating. If they have already given you a thumbs down rating, it doesn't reverse that.
Silence for 6 Hours
This will stop the user from being able to post in your room for the next 6 hours. This does not stop them from being able to tip and give you a thumbs down rating.
Promote to Moderator
Select this to promote the user to be a moderator. Be very careful who you promote to moderator status. Moderator

This determines if users that are age-verified can post in public chat. This is primarily to limit other broadcasters, but you can be age-verified and not be a broadcaster. I recommend the "Yes, only if they're broadcasting now" option. As you don't want other broadcasters stealing your audience.
